Victory Speech Therapy and Autism Consulting, LLC is a God-centered business focused on providing quality speech-language therapy, social skills training, and autism consulting to children and families in a compassionate, loving, and encouraging atmosphere.

We are focused on helping your child to victory and believe that having stronger communication skills increases your child's chance for success. We use his or her strengths to improve their weaknesses.

Our three areas of service and expertise are:

  • Speech & Language Therapy
  • Social Skills
  • Autism Consulting

Our founder, Jan Butler has developed a speech therapy method that is unique and superior to other speech therapy options found elsewhere. We start with a FREE phone consultation by appointment and use a combination of diagnostic tools including mini evaluations and full evaluations. We will develop an individualized plan to assist your child in attaining victory!

"I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me."

Jan Butler, SLP, CCC is the founder and president of Victory Speech Therapy and Autism Consulting, LLC. She has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 26 years. As a mom of three adult children, Jan understands the challenges and struggles of raising children, especially when they need extra help.

Two of her children have ADD, one of whom also has Asperger’s Syndrome. Another child had a severe speech impediment when younger.  It was during her own quest to help her child with autism that she became fascinated by the area of autism. She found that through her professional training as a Speech-Language Pathologist, continued training in the field of autism, and successes and struggles as a parent, she has a unique perspective to assist other parents in helping their own children as well.

Over the past 26 years, her professional experience includes nursing homes, private practice, a speech-language-hearing clinic, and both public and private schools.  Prior to starting Victory Speech Therapy and Autism Consulting LLC, Jan helped establish and worked in a school for autistic children through the St. Louis Archdiocese.

Jan received a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University. Through Project ACCESS, additional training as an In-District Autism Consultant was obtained as well as completion of training courses on Sensorimotor Integration and the Child with Autism, along with Working with Autistic Students in the Schools.

She currently holds an ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate of Clinical Competence as well as her Missouri State license.

She has also presented multiple workshops at the
Greater St. Louis Area Home Educators Expo.

Stacy Bick is a homeschool mom of four and part-time Speech-Language Pathologist. She loves worshiping, reading, learning, and building relationships.
She earned a masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Fontbonne University in 2004. She worked for four years helping hearing impaired children of ages 2-16 work through a wide spectrum of speech and language difficulties. She then worked for 10 years as a substitute Speech Pathologist for Special School District, while also providing occasional private speech therapy to help with finances, while homeschooling is her first priority.
She currently holds an ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate of Clinical Competence as well as her Missouri State License.
She looks to God to be the leader in all things, and believes that everything we put into His hands is likely to prosper and be returned doubly sweet.

Meet Wilson!

Wilson is a beautiful, calm Golden Retriever.  He is a certified therapy touch dog. Wilson has an intuitive calmness around special needs children, and children seem to respond well to the presence of Wilson. He has a special way of calming kids down, and in some instances, increasing their language output.

In addition to working at Victory Speech Therapy, Wilson also likes visiting nursing homes.  Wilson has been a wonderful addition to the Victory Speech Therapy and Autism Consulting staff.

Read this review of how Wilson, our certified therapy touch dog helps a VERY SHY young boy warm up:

Chase is very shy and usually won’t speak to anyone outside our immediate family until really warming up over multiple encounters with Mrs. Butler.  When he visited Mrs. Butler and her therapy dog Wilson, he opened up so quickly.  Mrs. Butler got Chase talking and answering her questions right away, on his first visit.  She was able to identify several specific areas in which Chase struggled and worked on those areas with him and gave us tools that we could use while at home to make improvements.                           --  Angie G.
